Harbourside Construction Update

July 30, 2011

Cranes and Excavator units now dot the skyline on the corner of US1 and Indiantown Road, where progress continues at the Harbourside Place project.  There has been further advancement in building the new sea wall, as discussed in the previous post, as well as removal of the shaky and outdated existing dock. Progress is moving along smoothly and we are excited to finally see this project coming to fruition. Photos and descriptions are attached below to show just some of the progress. The State of Florida has the installation of a new roadway and bridges on US1, simultaneously taking place alongside the project as well.  These new roadways will bring a fresh new look, while updating the infrastructure in the area as well.  This new infrastructure will also help to handle the higher amounts of traffic in the area upon completion of the project.  Click the following link for more information on the Harbourside Place project.  For information regarding investing in Harbourside, please see our EB-5 website.

Florida Regional Center Lands in Hong Kong

July 26, 2011

Two members of the Florida Regional Center team embarked on a journey (including 4 aircraft changes, cramped legroom, and 26 hours of travel time) that has landed them in Hong Kong at 8:00PM local time, eager to start work. The team will be stationed in China for approximately 2 months and look to fully subscribe the remaining EB-5 slots in the Harbourside Place project. Nicholas Mastroianni III, Director of International Operations, is looking to advise Chinese clients on the many benefits of investing with the Florida Regional Center.  “I am excited about the opportunity this trip presents and am anxious to speak with our past, current and potential investors about what a great opportunity the Harbourside Place project is” stated Nicholas Mastroianni III. Jessica Kartell, Assistant Director, was eager to discuss how diverse and beautiful the city was on a phone interview as well, “It is worlds away from Jupiter, FL, but the people have been fantastic and it is amazing to take in such a diversely rich culture, as the one here in China.” The two members have quite the schedule ahead of them, meetings with future clientele and seminars lined up nearly everyday.  However, Nicholas Mastroianni III wasn’t daunted by the challenge and said “This is a chance not every businessman gets to experience, I am proud to be here to represent The Florida Regional Center and the A-class projects we undertake.”

This blog looks forward to bringing you a daily update of the team’s activities and success in China. You can follow Nicholas and Jessica on twitter @EB5PalmBeach. Please also check back for updates on; meeting with future clients, construction updates at Harbourside Place, and more!

Florida Regional Center, Putting Roots Down In China

July 17, 2011

The Florida Regional Center is proud to now have a second office location in South China. The office is situated in Shenzhen, China, and  puts us in the heart of one of the fastest growing areas in China. With a large percentage of investors coming from the Asian market, Florida Regional Center’s new location will allow us to better serve our clientele in a face to face fashion.  We hope that with this new location, we will be able to better serve our clientele and help to assist them with their investment in our EB-5 project, Harbourside Place. Furthermore,  we hope that this office location will allow us to keep a better pulse on the needs and concerns of our future investors and allow for better communication and faster progress.

With this new home base in Asia, we look forward to meeting with the growing number of future clients and hope to guide them along in their investments in our current and future EB-5 opportunities.

Construction: Full Speed Ahead

July 13, 2011

After the speeches were made and the ceremonial shovels were put away after the groundbreaking ceremony, the construction crews pushed their way onto the site of Harbourside Place, Jupiter, FL.  Any project in Florida located on the water, such as this, needs to have the correct base in place to protect against the corrosion of the sea. While unglamorous, this phase of construction will be essential to the final product, the constructing of a new seawall.   This new seawall, will firmly hold in place the basis for the development of this project and keep the water of the Intracoastal at bay.  Using a new design composed of a cold-formed cantilevered sheet pile design by Coastal Systems International, Inc and cast-in-place bulkhead system, this will be a state of the art design, built to last. The nearly 1,100 linear foot long seawall, will allow future patrons to walk directly on the water’s edge and access the docks and private slips, which will be part of the Harbourside Place Project. Additionally, site clearing has taken place, with the removal of vegetation and various debris to make way for the pouring of future concrete foundations.

The first phase of construction is now fully underway for the project and we have the EB-5 funding to thank. We look forward to bringing you weekly construction updates, with more photos and interviews with construction management as to the progress of the project. **Check back soon for a live video feed at the Harbourside Place construction site**
